The restaurant app Wolt is looking to conquer Sweden with capital from EQT Ventures. The sum has finally been revealed.

Breakit has previously written about Wolts launch in Stockholm. However the amount of capital raised was not disclosed ,by neither the company nor its investors, until now.

The company, which competes with companies like Foodora, Saffron and Waitress, has raised $11 million (90 million SEK) from EQT Ventures, Niklas Zennström and Supercell’s CEO Ilkka Paananen, among others.

“We honestly can’t think of any better investors on the planet than we have today. EQT Ventures is by far the most exciting thing that has happened on the European capital market in a long time”, co-founder and CEO at Wolt, Miki Kuusi.

He is somewhat of a tech celebrity in Finland. He has, among other things, been the CEO at Slush and took the Finnish expo from 300 to 15,000 visitors.

Wolt currently has over 100.000 users and 450 restaurants in its app in Finland.
