The Sweden-based photography learning platform YouPic have just announced a round of financing, including the Chalmers Innovation Seed Fund. The round also includes further investment from the company’s existing investors resulting in a total raise of roughly €500,000. YouPic is aiming to strengthen it’s position in this market.
YouPic was established in 2013 to develop a community for all photography enthusiasts to take their photography to the next level. You can find high quality inspiration, learn and achieve mastery in all categories of photography.
Per Sahlin, Chalmers Innovation Seed Fund on why they dicided to invest in YouPic:

Interestingly, the former COO of Getty Images, Nick Evans Lombe is also jumping onboard and backing YouPic and brings with him important industry knowledge to the company. That combined with the funds will enable YouPic to accelerate user growth, continue product development and strengthen its position as the place for photographers to learn and improve their photography.
Navid Razazi, Founder and CEO of YouPic commented:
“Through our new partnerships and investment we aim to continue our success in the emerging photography sector and help millions take better photos.”
