Written by on February 16, 2015

Personal shopping service The Cloakroom can look back at a very successful year. In 2014 the company received a capital injection of 1.2 million euros and with this investment they expanded from the Netherlands to Denmark, Sweden and Belgium. This resulted in a growth of 1,000% on their monthly revenue from January to December.

The next step for The Cloakroom is to open up an office in Stockholm

The two Danes Kasper Brandi Petersen and Asbjørn Jørgensen founded the Cloakroom in May 2013 in Amsterdam. At the beginning of 2014 there were only six personal shoppers, but the team quickly grew to 40 shoppers. In September the company opened up an office in Copenhagen, where they currently have 18 employees from Denmark and Sweden.

Co-founder Kasper explains that in 2015 the company is focusing on further expansion in Europe. The next step for The Cloakroom is to open up an office in Stockholm. By opening local offices, the company can respond to trends quickly and serve their customers better. The company is expecting to hire more than 100 personal shoppers this year because of the expansion in existing, and new markets.
