After a successful year in 2014 (with 1067 registered tickets) Uppstart is back and is set to roughly double in size for the next event in Feb 11th.
The event will be held for the first time in Uppsala Castle, its set to attract around 600 people. There will be a full day of events, a special pre-event where selected start-ups across sweden will get a chance to do fast elevator style pitches in front of over 20 investors, including Creandum, Schibsted, Conor VC, Aggregate Media, Industrifonden, MOOR, STING and a good mix of angel investors also. A few limited spots are still available for that.
The panelists on stage for the main event from 17:30 onwards will be Tim Jackson (Lean Investments) and Staffan Helgesson and Sabina Wizander from Creandum. Tickets available still for this (free) from www.uppstart.co. There will be the normal format where everyone in the room will get a change to meet each other.
There will be some locally sourced craft beers available
There will be some locally sourced craft beers available (courtesy of Jackdaw Brewery) and anyone using the code swedishstartupspace will get a free one of these on arrival. There will be free food also as per normal.
Hannes Sjoblad, who is founder of the Swedish Biohacker Association and also an ambassador to Singularity University is helping to organise one of the very first NFC implant parties live at Uppstart, a movement in Sweden gaining attention internationally. We’ll be hearing more on stage with a live demonstration, and anyone coming to the event will be offered their own implant via an experienced piercing professional (including aftercare) for 1700 SEK (reduced from 1900 SEK)
