The Nordea Innovation Challenge invites individuals, university teams and tech start-ups to help them reinvent banking in the digital age. The teams will be challenged to create the next consumer banking App or Analytical insight of future customer services in a 48 hour contest between Stockholm and Helsinki.
This is a 48 hour event run in Helsinki and Stockholm from Friday 28th November to Sunday 30th November.
The challenge is divided into two areas. They are looking for the Best Mobile App and the Best Data Insights. This challenge is about banking, but it does not require you to be a banking specialist.

Best Mobile App
Create a mobile app that aggregates data from various banking and open sources and combines the available APIs, Services and mobile device capabilities. You can create a Responsive, Hybrid or Native app that suits your ideas, needs and talents. The goal in development is innovation, look and feel, intuitive interface, and the potential value to banking customers.
Best Data Insight
Create an app or service that analyses historical banking data, social media data, and/or other related and relevant data sources. The goal in development is innovation, insights from the data, quality of analytics, creative visualisation, and the potential value to banking customers.
A team from IBM, Nordea and Apple will be available throughout the event to coach and support your team in the creation and development of your ideas.
A prize fund of 50,000 SEK (or Euro equivalent) will be awarded between the winning entries in each category in each country (10,000 SEK each). The final challenge winner will be selected from these four winning entries and receive an additional 10,000 SEK.
