ShopJoy is a software company that developed a standard CMS and related apps for both iOS and Android. The solution provides companies and organizations such as chain stores, arenas and museums the ability to send targeted information to individual visitors’ mobile phones. As you might recall, we wrote about them here and here.

Now it seems we have reasons to cover their progress once again. Tjustbygdens Sparbank and ICA Supermarket in Gamleby will be the first in Sweden to implement a solution for mobile marketing based on ShopJoys CMS and iBeacon.

According to ShopJoy, iBeacon technology represents a breakthrough for micro-marketing and will possible to easily and cost-effectively send targeted information to individual visitors’ mobile phones at precise locations.

By using this solution Retailers would be able to communicate with their customers at the precise moment they step into the shop. And the message could be a special offer, a recipe suggestion, or any other relevant information.

ShopJoy CEO Pär Bäck seems confident – “This is just the beginning of a major shift in how businesses and organizations communicate with their customers and other visitors”
