Rikard Steiber, CEO at MTGx, truly inspired people at Startup Grind last night

Written by on March 21

I’m sitting here at SUP46, waiting for the next Startup Grind event to start. It’s Thursday night and the main guest for the night is Rikard Steiber, CEO at MTGx. Rikard Steiber – CEO at MTGx, has co-founded several companies and spent six years at Google where he ended up as Global Marketing Director.

Rikard Steiber started his career in management positions at Telia and Procter & Gamble before he transformed his management skills into entrepreneurial skills. He was the CEO and co-founder of XLENT Strategy and Digiscope Consulting in Stockholm and also one of the co-founders and Senior Director at Scandinavia Online AB before being recruited to Google, a move which would change everything.

Rikard spent six years at Google where he started as Director of Product Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa but ended up with a career as Globel Marketing Director for Google’s Mobile and Social Advertising business. During Rikard’s time at Google he oversaw the launch and ongoing marketing of products including Google+, Search, YouTube, Android, Chrome, Maps, Apps, Adwords, Analytics, DoubleClick and AdSense.

Of course, now Rikard is back in Sweden and currently heading up MTGx and trying to revitalise an ageing media house.

All in all, it was a great event and I really encourage everyone to get down to future events. They are personal, informative and truly focused on the early careers of some of Sweden’s top entrepreneurial talents.
