Launch an innovative news service over a weekend with Schibsted at Hack Away

Written by on March 14

Ted Valentin is a very eclectic entrepreneur, that has a lot of things going on at the same time. He got in touch with us about his most recent project, Hack Away. Hack Away is a series of hackathons where the common denominator is that no Hack Away is the same. In particular, it happens every hackathon on a new and pre- secret location , meaning each Hack Away has the potential to become a rather unique little adventure.

The very first event, Hack Away #1, will be held in almost exactly a month, the weekend of April 11 to 13. You will be picked up anywhere in the Stockholm area.

The theme for this first event is the “Hack the News”, and Ted & co teamed up with Schibsted, one of Sweden’s more innovative media companies, who will hang with and talk about the trends that are shaping the future of media.

If you are a developer, designer or creator – go ahead and register at once. You can sign up as a solo, or in teams of up to three people . The goal is to launch an innovative news service by the end of the weekend. You should not know in advance what you want to build, but it’s good if you already start thinking about how to create innovative new services, which can take over the world.

Hack Away #1 is free, and Ted Valentin claims that there are some great prizes to win. The number of participants is limited to 40 people, so head over and apply now.
