The Urban Resilience Challenge 2014: Do you have an idea that can change the world?

Written by on February 19

Are you over 21 years old, have a track record of setting up or running a business or an organisation, and a passion for making the world a better place? Maybe you should participate in The Urban Resilience Challenge 2014, presented by Singularity University.

What is the Urban Resilience Challenge?

The background of the Urban Resilience Challenge is the demographic forecast that in the coming two decades, the number of people who live in big cities will grow by another two billion humans, mostly in developing economies. This enormous shift will put tremendous stress on the healthcare, communications, food supply, housing, infrastructure and other critical resources in these places.

Participants should present an idea which through the use of new technology has the capacity to positively impact a billion people within ten years.
