Possunt starts crowdfunding campaign to share digital stories

Written by on December 19

Crowdfunding is extremely hot right now, with platforms such as Indiegogo and Kickstarter. I talked with Kristín who just launched a crowdfunding campaign which aims to finance the first 20 digital stories “that matter”, which is what a young startup called Possunt is all about. Kristin has a background from Innovatum Incubator in Trollhättan and Stockholm School of Entreprenuership as well as Community Manager for Young Entrepreneurs of Sweden. At Stockholm School of Entreprenuership she worked as a Training Coordinator. Kristín also helped with the execution of SE-forums Accelerator earlier this year and have helped as a jury member in Venture Cup Öst.

One may say that I’ve been quite involved in the “Swedish Startup Space” since I moved to Sweden 3 years ago, where of the first year I was just finishing my degree at KTH (and trying to learn Swedish).

A platform to share stories

Possunt is initially raising money to buy equipment, camera, mic and lens, for shooting the stories. Possunt, which is latin and means “they can”, is founded by Kristín. The platform will help people share stories to be seen, heard and shared. Kristín says that “Possunt is my contribution to shake the world a bit.”.

During my 27 years of lifetime I’ve lived in 13 cities in 4 countries, travelled to over 28 countries and worked within very diverse industries since the age of 14. This rootless life in combination with great amount of curiosity, genuine interest in people and their stories, and an ambition to change the world, has given me great opportunities to learn from people of all ages with different backgrounds and experiences from all around the world.

The vision is to build bridges between people and people, people and companies, and companies and companies. Possunt is aiming to inspire people and companies around the world to inspire each other, through personal storytelling

We want people and companies to take an action towards more responsible and compassionate world by showing good examples -so all around the world we will hear people say:

Ohh, if he/she can do it, I can do it too!

The first people on Kristíns list of stories to share is:

Freyja Haraldsdóttir. CEO of the Independent Living Organization. Iceland
Vilborg Arna Gissurardóttir. Adventurer. Iceland.
Jón Gnarr. Major of Reykjavík. Iceland.
Navid Modiri. Artist and Activist Against Racism. Sweden.
Gustav Borgefalk. Entrepreneur. Sweden.
