Editors note: The following is a guest post, contributed by Ted Valentin - the serial-entreprenur behind sites such as Restaurangkartan.se, SocialaNyheter.se and Boutique
Since I launched SocialaNyheter.se, I often receive a lot of requests from big media companies and web based newspapers in Sweden. These questions often revolve around “Why doesn’t this article get shared more often? Why are Aftonbladet dominating social sharing?”
Aftonbladet’s dominance is of course based on their big online audience, but they’re also quick when it comes to publishing and also post catchy headlines. Regardless, there are a few key components that Aftonbladet does well, and that other newspaper’s don’t.
This article will go over some basic rules, best practices and a few examples on what can go wrong. Think of it as a “how to do social media“, regardless of whether you are running the biggest media house in Sweden or a small blog for personal use.
