Fishbrain are on a bit of a roll. After recently announcing their partnership with Discovery, announcing they’d debunked one of fishings strongest myths – they can now announce that the service has over 100,000 registered users.
It’s becoming more and more apparent that this market is prime for the taking – Johan tells me that the retail market for sport fishing in the US alone is over $45 billion. I must admit, that when I first heard about Fishbrain I was a little concerned as to whether fisherman would be interested in using mobile-technology to improve their results and brag to others – but clearly my concerns were unfounded.
“I’m very happy with the pace at which we are growing and by the positive response from anglers worldwide. We were sure that there would be more anglers like us that could use a little extra help from technology – both in catching that dream catch and sharing it with other fishermen – now we surely see that this is the case. With some new features that we will be rolling out soon our growth will accelerate further and make the app even more exciting to use”, says Johan Attby, CEO of FishBrain.
