Wrap up: Recent fundings for Stockholm startups

Stockholm IT Region recently published an article outlining some of the recent investments made in Stockholm tech companies. It’s truly exciting to see so many investments coming from outside Sweden.

Magine secures $19M investment to fuel international expansion of cloud-based solution
Stockholm based startup Magine secured investment from a group of Swedish and international investors. Magine has developed an impressive cloud-based solution which makes them an internet based TV provider. The service is currently available in Sweden but will be rolling out to other countries shortly.

Bambuser takes investment from Associated Press
The Associated Press invested an undisclosed amount in Stockholm based video streaming company Bambuser.

U.S. tech company Anaplan launches in the Nordic, opens new office in Stockholm
“Anaplan, the fast-growing provider of cloud-based modeling and planning solutions for finance and operations, today announced its launch in the Nordics with the opening of an office in Stockholm, Sweden and the appointment of veteran technology executive Thomas Anderberg as Managing Director of the Nordic region. With offices now established in the UK, France, and Sweden, Anaplan will continue to expand into additional international markets throughout the year.” (From Anaplan press release)

Finnish Rovio establish new VC firm Moor & More in Stockholm, searching for tech with global potential
One of the creators of the popular game Angry Birds, Kaj Hed, has started an investment firm in Stockholm that will share offices with the Swedish Rovio branch. The VC firm, called Moor & More, will scout early stage startups.
